Trump Calls Off Public Execution of Man In Wheelchair

President Trump on Thursday announced that the execution of Fort Hood shooter U.S. Army Major Nidal Hasan would no longer be livestreamed.  

“I think streaming the execution for all to see might have been a strong deterrent for the World to witness how America deals with Terrorists and SCUM like Hasan but, many very good and well meaning people would rather not watch him die, through streaming, or through any other visual device,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

State Attorney Generals Are Confronting AI Products, Not The US Congress

A group of state attorneys general are suing the artificial intelligence firm OpenAI, accusing the ChatGPT-maker of illegally misleading users over the safety of its chatbot.

Eight states filed lawsuits Wednesday, alleging OpenAI pushed forward with development of its AI products, despite knowing its products require safety guardrails. The bipartisan group of state leaders argue OpenAI violated their respective states’ consumer protection laws and makes a product that endangers “vulnerable users, like children.”
