Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Friday that all U.S. troops will get one day off in October to vote in the 2026 midterm elections.

Hegseth said the stand-down order will be executed by Oct. 15 and will continue in even-numbered election years as part of a new and “apolitical” Pentagon “with all the right priorities.”

Trump trade advisor Peter Navarro revealed the White House is concerned about China meddling in the 2026 midterm elections during a Thursday interview with Bill O’Reilly.

“They have the capabilities [to interfere] and we’re worried about this coming election in ’26 and again in ’28,” Navarro said.

He told the ex-Fox News host that President Donald Trump is well aware of the Chinese threat, since the country’s communist regime already interfered with the 2020 presidential election.

The Justice Department sued Maryland on Thursday over a new law barring federal law enforcement officers from wearing masks and requiring them to identify themselves while working in the Old Line State.

This is Blowing Rocks Preserve in Martin County, Florida on the Atlantic Ocean. When the conditions are right the water shoots up through those rocks. I have visited there many times. The gathering of sharks a hundred yards from the rocks are the largest I've ever seen in Florida. But that's just me.
