More Americans now say President Trump has the personality and leadership qualities a president should have than they did two years ago, according to a new poll.
Forty percent of Americans surveyed in the Gallup poll released Tuesday said that Trump has presidential qualities. That percentage has risen from 33 percent in 2017.

Troops wore MAGA-styled patches on their uniforms during President Donald Trump’s addressed military personnel aboard the U.S.S. WASP.
Vivian Salama, a White House reporter for the Wall Street Journal documented the patches and posted images on Twitter.

Memorial Day has a special meaning to those of us who served, and I for one don’t see it as a gleeful occasion.
But then “Happy Memorial Day” is one of those perfunctory, unthinking, and largely-meaningless greetings, like “Hi, how are you?” asked by a person who does not actually give a rat’s ass how you are.
As a culture, we have adopted the lazy habit of prefixing any holiday with “Happy.” Sometimes it works: Happy New Year, Happy Valentine’s Day, Happy Birthday. But for Memorial Day, it just doesn’t.
There is one exception: if Trump is sentenced to prison on May 30, 2022, THAT will be a Happy Memorial Day.
I too am glad Cadet Bone Spurs was out of the country for Memorial Day. The day would have no meaning for him and his presence would only diminish the day’s importance.
I was one of 178 guys who got their physicals on that day and we ALL passed. There were people wheezing; people limping, people with arms in slings, people strung out on drugs, people with communicable diseases and festering sores but none of that mattered: we all passed our physicals.
I remember one guy in particular who had bright purple scars up and down both knees where cartilage had been removed. He was told, “If they give you trouble in boot camp, we’ll issue knee pads.” He passed.
And yet Cadet Bone Spurs was able to sashay in and out only months later with a draft classification of 1-Y: “Registrant qualified for service only in time of war or national emergency.” If memory serves, there was a war going on at that time. Three months after that, he got a 4-F classification.
What a f*cking loathsome slimeball the guy is. In fact, I have never used the adjective “f*cking” more freely than I have when describing anything related to Donald Trump or his f*cking snakebitten presidency.

I blame the main stream media. They keep interviewing these malignant Trumpsters and giving them and their nutty ideas exposure every damn day.
That piece in the New York Times Maggie Haberman did on Hope Hicks was appalling and is exactly what is wrong with DC journalists. It reminded me of NBC's David Gregory dancing and rapping with Karl Rove as two wars were raging and the economy was collapsing in 2007 due to Dubya. There was hardly a kerfuffle from the main stream media.

Unusually heavy rains caused drainage problems and my north facing concrete wall is sucking up standing water like a sponge. I anticipated this but the rains came early. A gutter and a concrete walkway along the house will solve the problem. Ay yi yi yi.
