As construction to turn the East Wing of the White House into a ballroom enters its second week, advocates continue to press for proof the Trump administration is following the proper environmental protocols.

The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization sent a letter to the White House late last week requesting documentation of the inspection, monitoring and abatement measures necessary to mitigate exposures to the cancer-causing minerals. Among those measures are EPA regulations on hazardous waste transportation and disposal and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards on workplace protective equipment. Those abatement measures include workers wearing the appropriate protective gear, spraying water to contain dust and ensuring asbestos-laden materials are sealed, labeled and disposed of according to federal hazardous waste standards.

Houston, do you copy?

Affirmative, the eagle has landed.

Gosh, there is nothing like a brand new laptop even though it has a Spanish keyboard (I cannot find the apostrophe, the at sign, dash and the parentheses are backward) But it works like a dream. 😏 I will spend tomorrow transferring all my info, the security checks, etc.

I purchased a Lenovo Ideapad.

The tech took about 3+ hours to convert it to English. Bless his heart.

If all goes as planned I will have a new edition on Monday.

Update

Update: The bad news is a new charger is on order from San Jose and is expected early next week. Of course, my Acer laptop has a tiny charger connector that none of the universal chargers fit.

Sigh.

SO, the good news is I am going to buy a new laptop today!* I will need it changed to the English language. though.
