Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were told by their leadership to increase daily arrests in the weeks ahead of the midterms, according to a new report.

CNN reported this week, citing two sources familiar with the situation, that ICE leadership directed agents to increase daily arrests by 1,000 people. That would increase the goal to 3,000 daily arrests, and one of the sources said the weekly goal is 19,000 arrests. ICE has reportedly been averaging around 2,000 daily arrests recently.
