A grand jury on Thursday indicted New York Attorney General Letitia James on charges of bank fraud and making false statements to a financial institution, making her the second political figure to face prosecution after President Trump publicly demanded that the Justice Department “act fast” to charge his perceived adversaries.

The first, former FBI Director James Comey, was arraigned Wednesday in Virginia, where he pleaded not guilty to charges of lying to Congress.
