Matt Gaetz Drops Out As Trump's Nominee For Attorney General
...“I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday. I appreciate their thoughtful feedback – and the incredible support of so many. While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition. There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I’ll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General. Trump’s DOJ must be in place and ready on Day 1,” Gaetz wrote on X

Joe Scarborough Clumsily Swept This Under The Rug In 2001 And Now He's Mad People Are Still Talking About It
Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are “petrified” that if Matt Gaetz becomes attorney general, he will use a baseless conspiracy theory to investigate Scarborough, Puck News reported on Wednesday night...In 2001, an intern for Scarborough named Lori Klausutis died at his office in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. An autopsy found that she passed out, hit her head, and died. She was found to have an undiagnosed heart ailment.
Joe Scarborough sent me a cease and desist AND removal of all my online info related to Lori Klausutis' death in 2006. I Didn't Do It.

I immediately called Papantonio and had an hour long conversation with him. The essence of the conversation was him wanting me to remove everything about Joe and me saying he doesn't have a legal leg to stand on. He was very polite and so was I.
By the way, I don't think Joe had anything to do with her death, there's not an iota of evidence that he did. BUT the way his office handled her death with boxing gloves on, the security guard changing his story, the shady coroner, no national media coverage and the lazy police investigation raised many local eyebrows.
I never heard from Scarborough or his lawyers again.
BACKGROUND:
The only local newspaper that covered the death of a US Congressman's aide (not intern) was the Northwest Florida Daily News in Ft. Walton Beach where she was found dead in Scarborough's office in 2001.
The only local newspaper that covered the death of a US Congressman's aide (not intern) was the Northwest Florida Daily News in Ft. Walton Beach where she was found dead in Scarborough's office in 2001.
And the initial online coverage consisted of chat rooms, Buzzflash, and me.
Immediately the local police said no foul play was involved, which was curious because she had a visible gash on her forehead. Scarborough's office comes out and says that Lori was sickly and fell, blahblahblah. This angered her family as she was not sickly. She ran marathons for crying out loud.
Lori's husband contacted me thinking somehow that I wanted her body exhumed. Which of course I didn't. He said the family wanted nothing to do with Scarborough. I imagine they saw what Chandra Levy's family was going through in real time and just wanted to grieve.
Anyway, Joe's hometown newspaper the Pensacola News Journal, about 30+ miles from the death scene didn't print any article about Scarborough's aide until 3 or 4 days after her death, and that was at the insistence of my late husband who was a news editor there (and others in the newsroom). Imagine that, a newspaper ignoring actual news.
The stars must have been in a magnificent alignment for Joe because the doc who did the autopsy was an incompetent boob with a very shady background (and future) who said Lori died from a heart problem that caused her to faint and hit her head on a desk. Lori was very petite. Surprising that such a tiny girl would have enough downward force to crack her skull.
☝
I think it was my 2001 editorial that must have irked him.

Remember, Gaetz climbed on the backs of the same evangelicals as Joe did, in Congressional District 1 in Florida. He's as greasy as Gaetz.

Trump Will Crash The Market Just As George W, Bush Did. It's A Republican Tradition!
This November, millions of Americans voted to bring Donald Trump back to the White House. Many of them made their decision based on the belief that he would strengthen the economy. However, many economists and financial experts have been sounding the alarm that Trump’s policies could do more harm than good — potentially a lot more harm.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer tapped Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) to chair a new subcommittee that will work with President-elect Donald Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

I definitely remember my own nasty comments about Scarborough in the story of his aide that no one else I knew was talking about. My anger was primarily because of accusations, many of them wild and unfounded, Scarborough had made against Dems and I felt he should taste some of that himself! I regret I cannot remember which Dems he targeted, but his voice was always a loud obnoxious one! 🤬
ReplyDeleteJoe is a loud mouth opportunist, plain and simple. He sent Michael Moore a cease and desist, too. Maybe that's who you are thinking of?
DeleteThe media ignored the story. Too busy covering Gary Condit, I assume.
Delete🤣 A banana, taped to a wall, as art was a strange debate to begin with when it appeared years ago. But, paying $6M for banana art that is no longer an art piece unless the buyer replaces the banana himself, in perpetuity, is a downright scream! That. Is. NOT. Art!! It's a rotting banana! 🤣
ReplyDeleteArt is in the eye of the beholder. Not my eye!
