ReplyDeleteYears ago I waded out to my knees in that area in August and my legs said "No more of that, it's too cold." They actually hurt for a while later and I was still in my early thirties with better blood flow. Did swim once at the eastern end by Sault Ste.Marie and it was tolerable for a very, very short time.
