LAPD: Arson suspect in custody linked to Kenneth Fire

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said it apprehended a suspect Thursday accused of sparking the Kenneth Fire.

LAPD Senior Lead Officer Charles Dinse said the fire began Thursday at around 3 p.m. in the West Hills neighborhood. It is being investigated as a crime.

Attorney General Merrick Garland plans to release only the volume of special counsel Jack Smith’s report dealing with Donald Trump’s plans to subvert the transfer of power after his loss in the 2020 election, holding back on sharing the Mar-a-Lago report while the president-elect’s two co-defendants still face trial.

This is a weird framing.
DOJ is going to release the election interference portion of the report, but they can’t release the documents report because there’s still ongoing litigation against co-defendants.
