If the republicans really want to go down that "what if" road on WW2, I think we also need to mention that if it wasn't for the most liberal president we have ever had (FDR) the US would have been in no shape to assist in WW2 as we'd have a few wealthy schmucks with money while the rest of the country wallowed in poverty. Once Hitler came to power sympathetic rascist bastards in this country like Charles Lingbergh and Prescott would have excused and actively supported the Nazi regime and I believe the eastern US up to the Mississippi River would be speaking German, the southwest would have been given back to Mexico and the northwest would be Japanese. Thank God we had strong leadership from a president with vision, which is why kids never learn of the 4 freedoms and second bill of rights in school. Instead we get BS from a group that hasn't produced a president who can win a war in 2 centuries (and the Spanish-American war really wasn't anything to brag about).
