Trump's Tariffs Motivated South Korea, China and Japan To Unite With A Free Trade Agreement

South Korea, China and Japan held their first economic dialogue in five years on Sunday, seeking to facilitate regional trade as the three Asian export powers brace from U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs.

The countries' three trade ministers agreed to "closely cooperate for a comprehensive and high-level" talks on a South Korea-Japan-China free trade agreement deal to promote "regional and global trade", according to a statement released after the meeting.

Ana Navarro said on Monday on ABC’s The View that President Donald Trump made comments to NBC’s Kristen Welker on Sunday about potentially seeking a third White House term to distract the media.

Navarro described Trump as the “distractor-in-chief” and said she immediately concluded the comments were intended to deflect attention away from members of his administration discussing sensitive attack plans on Yemen on the Signal app.

On Monday afternoon, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that Trump would announce the details of his tariffs Wednesday in a Rose Garden event before his cabinet.

She deferred repeatedly when asked about the president's plans but added that trading partners like the European Union, Japan, India, and Canada have shown "disdain for the American worker" and said that there would be "no exemptions at this time" for groups like farmers. She also downplayed recent stock market declines.

I miss having the very boring, responsible, SANE adult President we had who got the job done without the drama of pissing off our allies, trying to force himself on Greenland and Canada, and unnecessary, economy-wrecking tariffs.
