Donald Trump Will Seek Immunity From January 6 Lawsuit

President-elect Donald Trump is to apply for immunity from a lawsuit taken by seven police officers injured in the January 6 riot,...

VP Harris: Today, I will perform my constitutional duty as Vice President to certify the results of the 2024 election. This duty is a sacred obligation — one I will uphold guided by love of country, loyalty to our Constitution, and unwavering faith in the American people.

The World Is A Safer Place Without Trump

The thing about January 6th that still lingers with me is how quickly and viciously MAGA turned on the Capitol Police. Really hammered home how every alleged principle on the right  -- in this case, deference to law enforcement -- will be quickly abandoned if it conflicts with Trump's interests. - Radley Balko

President Biden Slams GOP for Jan 6
President Joe Biden slammed those trying to “rewrite” and “erase” the “violent” events of the 2021 Capitol riot in a scathing editorial published in The Washington Post ahead of the fourth anniversary.

His Lies Are Never Ending. Sigh.

  1. On Jan. 1, I commented here laughing at the Tesla truck explosion at the Trump Hotel in Vegas...I thought it was just another Musk/Tesla failure. On Jan. 2, I apologized here because it wasn't funny and I promised to research my comments better. I can keep that promise today re: the growing story of Sen. Deb Fischer's husband "refusing" to shake VP Harris' hand at the swearing-in. Although I cannot fully confirm, I do not believe this was a refusal. Mr. Fischer looked a bit grumpy, but mostly shy and uncomfortable. When Harris congratulated him, too, he replied "thank you." Watch closely the slightly longer video as the family gets into place for the swearing-in. At no time does Mr. Fischer use his right arm or bring it upward. In this Newsweek photo*, he has a cane in that hand. The Dems who are upset and the MAGAs who call him a brave hero who hates commies (seriously?!), should rethink and maybe even apologize all around! 🫤

    1. It might be news but I have shaken people's left hands when they couldn't use their right arm. Not unless he has a cultural taboo about using his left hand. It's more like he has "issues".

    2. You're right and I don't know the truth of that few seconds of interaction. I was mostly reacting to the story exploding all over the internet without anyone confirming the truth and it was all based on assumption, so I decided to stir the pot in the opposite direction for awhile. 🙃

  2. Wait til the Orange Taint of Washington is told he has to continue to provide free Universal Health Care to the new Canadian/Americans. "Oh, wait..."
