Whopping Majority of Americans Oppose US Military Involvement in Conflict Between Israel and Iran

A whopping majority of Americans do not support the United States getting involved in the fighting between Israel and Iran, according to a new poll.

On top of Israel and Iran exchanging strikes, President Donald Trump has hinted the United States could get more directly involved. In an interview with ABC News over the weekend, the president admitted the United States military “could get involved” in the escalating conflict. He also claimed Iran is “very close” to possessing a nuclear weapon despite Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard testifying in March that the intelligence community does not believe Iran is currently building a nuclear weapon.

New York City Comptroller Brad Lander (D), a candidate for mayor, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on Tuesday as he guided a defendant out of immigration court.

Lander campaign spokesperson Dora Pekec said in a statement that masked agents took him and ICE detained him as he was escorting a defendant out of the court.

Doctors and other medical professionals working for the Department of Veterans Affairs can now refuse to treat Democrats and unmarried veterans.

VA hospital bylaws previously barred medical staff from discriminating against patients “on the basis of race, age, color, sex, religion, national origin, politics, marital status or disability in any employment matter,” The Guardian reported.

President Trump is in Alberta, Canada, for the Group of Seven (G7) Summit. He just called the group’s 2014 decision to remove Russia from the alliance a “mistake.”

In Trump’s words: “The G7 used to be the G8.
