Last Saturday I was at a local furniture/appliance store in Huacas. As my daughter and I were looking around she spotted a Starlink internet device. She turned to me and asked if I would want one of them.

I asked if she knew who owned Starlink and she shook her head no. I let it rip, "Elon Musk owns Starlink. I wouldn't give him a f**king penny. Not one f**king penny. F**k him!" and I gave the Italian chin flick several times. Surprised by me, my daughter burst out laughing as did the salesman, who in typical Tico style, covered his mouth and laughed even harder. They knew.

A Morning In My Life

Around 8am I received a call from my daughter who was down at the community center wanting to know if I wanted a free medical checkup. She said they were gringo medics. Free, yeah, sure.

After about 45 minutes of questions and exams, I was given a thumbs up and prescribed vitamin C with a joint supplement. The meds were free.

One of the medics proudly told me she was a Jersey girl. On my way out I said to her, "Say hi to Bruce Springsteen for me!" She smiled widely. She knew.
