Mama Toro just told me that the electricity will be off from 8am to 3pm. The power company is upgrading some areas with higher poles to help prevent large trucks from snagging the wires, which happens often.

Y'all realize I may die without a/c. Send cool air please because our rainy season started in June and it has barely rained but the heat hovers around 95-100 degrees. And yes, we fear wildfires.

ReplyDeleteMonday afternoon in Northern Illinois, we had heavy rains, strong winds & a few tornadoes. Local power has been out since and they expect it to be out for days to come.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of third world country is this turning into??? I fully expect to see the Orange Ape appear, tossing out rolls of paper towels! Actually, I could use some more paper towels.
