She died of a broken heart

Her heart was broken for the last time by her first love in high school.

I had to check what day it is today. Last week was a blur.

Amalia's mother is the strongest person I know. She arranged everything with love and thanked each and every person for attending, with a soft smile. I told her she was a mama toro.

Mama Toro gave me bad news yesterday. My shower water pipe was cracked due to a 4.5 earthquake 2 days ago. Amalia's old room has a crack right down the middle which lines up with my crack. Mama Toro wondered if there was a vein beneath. Ay yi yi yi.

Good news, the plumber is working on the problem. I am guessing it is going to be costly. Ya think?

At least, it got my mind off of the tragedy.

I'll return asap unless I fall in that hole!
